Doctor Omega, the inspiration for Doctor Who, in his first comic book series! In THE MERLIN JOB — the first issue in the epic five-issue OMEGA ELEVEN series — Doctor Omega and his companion, 14-year-old Jack Dawkins, aka The Artful Dodger, travel to Camelot to steal the Philosopher's Stone from Merlin—and things go catastrophically wrong. MONSTROUS #2, a digest-size horror comic magazine, features an 18-page story called "Rise of the Morlocks" by James Aquilone and J.K. Woodward. It's about Morlocks living underneath the NYC subway system in the 1970s! The issue, featuring a cover by Russ Braun, also includes a new horror story by Exorcist's House author Nick Roberts and a reprint of H.G. Wells' first time travel story, "The Chronic Argonauts."

It was an exciting Thursday night. We had a pretty strong ending, scoring 35 backers on the last day and nearly hitting our $12.5K stretch goal. Don't worry — we'll save Zac's webcomic collection for the next campaign and it will be even bigger.
A big thank-you to all of you for making this project happen! We can't do this without you. We're hard at work getting the issue out and will be sharing updates regularly. As a gift, here's another piece of art from Zac Atkinson. Excalibur — the mythical sword of King Arthur! What is its significance in the story? You'll have to read the first issue.
Surveys to get your addresses and info will go out in a few months.
A few backers' payments didn't go through. If that's the case, you have one week to fix it. I'll message the people who are affected.

It's the final day of the campaign! Thank you all for supporting our first creator-owned comic as well as the second issue of Monstrous. Zac and I are very excited about finishing work on THE OMEGA ELEVEN # 1 and getting it into your hands.
We have a final stretch goal if we hit $12.5K. If wedo, everyone will get a PDF containing all of Zac Atkinson's webcomics. It will be about 40 pages. Here's a look at it.
Coming soon — Follow the New Demons campaign here.
My campaign is ending today, but I'm not done with Kickstarter. I'm managing the campaign for a very special anthology from editors Joe R. Lansdale, Patrick R. McDonough, and Keith Lansdale.
New Demons aims to be as groundbreaking as its predecessors: Harlan Ellison's 1967 Dangerous Visions, Kirby McCauley's 1980 Dark Forces, David J. Schow's 1988 SilverScreams, and John Skipp and Craig Spector's 1989 Book ofthe Dead.
The lineup includes the best of the best — Linda D. Addison, Ramsey Campbell, Nancy A. Collins, S.A. Cosby, Christopher Golden, Grady Hendrix, Joe Hill, Nancy Holder, Gabino Iglesias, Stephen Graham Jones, Alma Katsu, Brian Keene, Ronald Kelly, Owen King, Joe R. Lansdale, Keith Lansdale, Edward Lee, Robin Hobb, Jonathan Maberry, Josh Malerman, Patrick R. McDonough, David Morrell, Chuck Palahniuk, Tanya Pell, Cherie Priest, Gary Raisor, David J. Schow, and Chuck Wendig.
Our friend Kevin Garcia is also doing a comic book featuring a bunch of public domain characters. Heroes ripped from the public domain for a brand new Golden Age adventure! Worlds War Comics #1001 is a stand-alone 22-page story that leads into a larger story, in a fully fleshed-out world of superheroes. Back it here!

We did — we hit our next stretch goal — and now all backers will get 5 digital comics for free. They are Claudia Christian's Dark Legacies #1, Rylend Grant's Peacekeepers #1, Hex Publishers' Unioverse Hero Collection, John Anthony Rodriguez's Mad Gasser of Mattoon #1, and Allen Ling's Genesis II.
Our next stretch goal comes when we hit $12.5K or 300 backers. Give us some ideas. What would you like to see for the stretch goal?
We have just a little more than two days left in the campaign. This is your last chance to pick up a sketch cover or a commission from Zac Atkinson or signed books by Jerry Ordway, Rodney Barnes and Dan Brereton.

As we head into the final days of the campaign, I'm going to try someone new. I have some special rewards leftover from previous campaigns and I thought I'd offer them here. These rewards are very limited and hard to come by.
(Here are instructions on how to add an add-on to your pledge.)
(NOTE: The covers' front right corners are slightly smushed.)
Here's the first page of my "Rise of the Morlocks" comic, which will be in Monstrous #2. Art by J.K. Woodward and lettering by Tom Napolitano.
The 18-page story follows a reporter who discovers that Morlocks are living underneath the NYC subway systm in the 1970s.
The second issue of the slasher series by Stephen Graham Jones and Joshua Viola is coming to Kickstarter. Go here to get a notification on launch.
